The recommended lens shades are:

Shade 10: For 80-100 amps welding current.

Shade 11: For 100-175 amps welding current.

Shade 12: For 175-300 amps welding current.

Shade 13: For 300-500 amps welding current.

Shade 14: For over 500 amps welding current.

Choosing the correct shade ensures that your eyes are adequately protected while still allowing you to see your work clearly. 

Also available are Auto Darkening Filters which can adjust accordingly between a clear and darkened state as selected manually by the user.
